Connecting your own modem isn't a given these days. CheapConnect changes that with free modem choice. We don't provide a modem with the connection — customers use their own.

Pay from your balance

At CheapConnect, you use a single balance and account for all services. That covers both internet and VoIP.

Fixed IP and hostname
Fixed IP (and hostname/reverse DNS)

Maybe you have an app you want to log into remotely. Or you want to control your lights via home automation. Then it's handy if your IP address doesn't change. At CheapConnect you get a fixed IP address, and you set your own hostname (reverse DNS). You can also link extra IP addresses to your connection via a routed subnet, so you can run various applications or servers without worry.

IPv6

Besides a fixed IPv4 address, we also give you an IPv6 delegated prefix, from which you can create multiple networks of your own. This IPv6 subnet is naturally fixed and tied to your connection too.

We don't block services from other suppliers and we don't close off ports. We also never force you to switch to a particular technology if your current technology is also an option. Take the choice between fiber or VDSL — we won't make that choice for you. At CheapConnect, you decide.

Delivery time

On average we deliver a connection within a week. Sometimes it's faster, sometimes it takes longer. We keep you posted on the progress.

Pay from your balance

Pay for your connection from your CheapConnect balance — the same balance you use for our telephony services (if you use those too).

5 percent discount

Pay annually and we'll give you a nice discount on the subscription costs: CheapConnect deducts 5 percent.

Fixed IP address (IPv4)

At CheapConnect, no dynamic addresses — always the same external IP address. That means no need for cumbersome DynDNS services if you link a domain name to an IP address. Our address doesn't change over time, so you can rely on it if you run a server or application at home (or in the office).

Fixed IP subnet (IPv6)

We give you an IPv6 subnet — big enough to create multiple networks within your LAN. Just like with IPv4, this IPv6 subnet is always the same and tied to your connection. You can run services or servers on these IPv6 addresses too.

Extra IP addresses

We can well imagine you're running multiple servers or applications. For that, you can link extra IP addresses to your connection. We then supply a routed subnet, by default a /29 with eight IP addresses. This is also known as a routed subnet.

Own hostname (reverse DNS)

A hostname (reverse DNS) is the name of your connection on the internet, used to identify the IP address. A hostname can in principle be anything — for example a (sub)domain, like name.internet.cheapconnect.net or name.yourowndomain.com. The choice is yours!

Free modem choice

At CheapConnect you're not stuck with a locked-down modem you can't adjust or even replace. You can always use your own equipment and keep full control over your connection in your own hands. For the most common models we offer support to get your internet working (if there are problems). Firewall and internal configuration are entirely in your own hands. No port is ever blocked.

Extensive portal

You get access to an extensive, user-friendly portal where you can manage and view your connection. You can even have multiple connections within one account — handy for business users with multiple locations.

Logging insight

See in real time when there was contact with the modem. You also get insight into how your modem is performing.

Reset your connection yourself

Problems? You can reset the session with your modem yourself. That makes the modem reconnect.

Extensive control panel

Just like our VoIP services, our internet services can be managed via the control panel.
